Lindsey & Craig

Lindsey & Craig tied the knot on the beautiful grounds of Dundas Castle, South Queensferry. We loved working with Lindsey to create her elegant wedding stationery. We even loved her bespoke design so much that we decided to add it to our own collection.

Below, Lindsey has shared with us some highlight from their special day and details of how they decided on what stationery style/design to go for....

We had our wedding on 5th September and were lucky enough to get beautiful weather - it was so warm and sunny and all our guests spilled outside for the drinks reception. There was a point during the drinks receptions where I was standing with Craig and we were looking around at all our guests drinking bubbles and laughing. Everyone looked so happy and the venue looked beautiful in the sun - it was an amazing moment where we let the day sink in.

I didn't have a bold colour scheme for my wedding - I wanted everything to look quite soft/neutral colours/vintage-chic. Lots of pearls and lace. The flowers were blush pinks and creams, the kilts were grey and the bridesmaid dresses were a light dove grey. I found it really difficult to find wedding stationery that would fit my vision for the day, so I decided on bespoke stationery and got in touch with Jenna at 2Flux.

The wedding stationery, particularly the invitations, was a really important part of the wedding for me. The invitations are the first thing your guests see to get a feel for your day. I get really excited when I get wedding invitations through the post, so I wanted our wedding stationary to be special and unique to us. I would strongly advise to any brides and grooms who can make place for bespoke wedding stationery in their budgets to do it. Not only did working with 2Flux save me so much time, as I didn't have to find all of these wedding details myself, I also knew I could have never found my wedding stationery anywhere else - it made it really special. A lot of our guests commented on the invitations and the other stationery details on the day and it was definitely worth it to us.

For our table names we had places that mean something to us, with what the place means underneath. 2Flux made them in the same style as the invitations and the rest of the stationery, and they looked lovely on the tables on the day.

One of the details I loved was actually the girls at 2Flux's idea. Jenna mentioned that they could make bespoke gift boxes for the bridesmaids/best man etc that would fit in with the rest of the stationery. I got two boxes made for my Maid of honour and Bridesmaid to put in the gifts I had bought them, some fizz and their jewellery for the day. The boxes had their names on them and individual cards made by 2Flux as well. 2Flux filled them with tissue and ribbon and I had them waiting for the girls when we arrived at Dundas Castle in the morning and they loved them - both had a tear! I'm really glad I decided to get 2Flux to make them.

I can't recommend 2Flux enough. From my first meeting with Jenna I trusted that she knew exactly what sort of look I was going for. From designing our invitations, they went on to design our table names, place settings, orders of service and thank you cards. They also designed extra touches such as the gift boxes for the bridesmaid and bespoke labels for sweet jars we had out on the day. Everything was ready at the time scales we agreed and Jenna was in regular contact with me and came back to all my emails/queries quickly (no matter how pointless the questions might have been at times!) Jenna completely understands that weddings are expensive and that brides and grooms have budgets in place - she always gave me all the options and often suggested ways of actually saving money on the different designs she came up with.

Not only are they very talented designers who aim to create exactly what their customers want, they are also lovely girls and very easy to speak to - I got on with Jenna very well so meeting up with her to discuss the designs didn't feel like meeting with a supplier at all!
